ACLU DEMANDS LA COUNTY REMOVE CROSS FROM OFFICIAL SEAL

The ACLU is at it again. Most people know the ACLU as the American Civil Liberties Union. I believe the appropriate identifier is the American Communist Lawyers Union and they're at it again on their anti-God crusade. There can be no mistake: the ACLUs philosophy is in complete harmony with the Constitution of the United Soviet Socialist Republic (1922-1991), which stated, "Article 124: In order to ensure to citizens freedom of conscience, the church in the U.S.S.R. is separated from the State and the school from the church." The same position was adopted by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1947 in their famous 'separation of Church and State' ruling.

Think about those three words: freedom of conscience (freedom from conscience) and what it represents to a civilized, moral society. Turn the people into zombies with no conscience or appreciation for their own actions. Take a look out there at America, at the moral behavior being displayed and the tragic consequences. You are looking at the slow, spasmodic death of a great nation committing national suicide.

For almost a half century, LA County 's official seal has carried a tiny cross on it, as well as other images that are historically connected to the State of California:

When the seal was adopted 47 years ago, neither the ACLU nor Americans United for Separation of Church and State (AU) ever challenged it. Suddenly, the Southern Chapter of the ACLU has decided to sue. They're screeching that the 'Latin Cross' on the seal is a "sectarian religious symbol" and reflects an "impermissible endorsement of Christianity."  Somehow, this escaped their attention for almost half a decade.

Let's take a look at the First Amendment to see if such a position has any validity:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;"

This county seal has nothing to do with Congress making any law to establish or endorse any religion in the City and County of Los Angeles, California. It's simply amazing that the ACLU and all their high paid lawyers can't seem to grasp this rather simple concept.

It is equally shameful that elected public servants continue to cave into threats and strong-arming by the ACLU. The LA County Board of Supervisors demonstrated their spineless condition, voting 3-2 to remove the cross. It is obvious to anyone that this cabal of legally ignorant public servants have no understanding of the First Amendment or the history of the passage of that amendment.

And who will be the losers in all this? According to LA County's spokeswoman, Judy Hammond, the cost of removing the seal would be "untold thousands and thousands of dollars." The seal is on most of the county's 5,000 buildings, thousands of county vehicles, plaques, flags, Internet sites, business cards and stationary.

Would not those "untold thousands and thousands of dollars" be put to better use for the people of LA County who number ten million? According to Huw, a young student studying at the LA School of Film, "What a waste of money! I mean, that money should be spent on schools and other services for the people of this county. That little, tiny cross on the seal isn't promoting or establishing any religious preference. The ACLU is a sick operation."

According to Mayor Hahn's office, the seal for LA county represents the influence of the church relating to the history of all the missions in the State of California dating back to the 1700s. Mayor Hahn stands by the seal and is "disappointed" by threats from the ACLU that the cross must be eliminated.

A lawsuit has been filed by the West Coast regional office of the Thomas More Law Center, a national, public-interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The lawsuit was filed in federal district court in California and is seeking to stop Los Angeles County officials from removing the cross from the County's official seal. The Thomas More Law Center is representing Ernesto Vasquez, a county employee who is in opposition to removal of the cross on the grounds that it sends a "government-sponsored message of hostility towards Christians in violation of the United States Constitution."

Where are the churches?

While people may not fully grasp the underpinnings of communism, there can be no doubt that in order for communism to prevail, Christianity and any belief in God must be destroyed. According to the author of Time Bomb:

"Stalin and his Communist comrades "did in effect, believe that the end justified the means." To achieve their carefully calculated ends, the Communists "were willing to employ confiscation, imprisonment, slavery, torture, murder, mass murder and war." In the name of "peace and prosperity," Stalin's dictatorship "pushed for an endless, overpoweringly strong, world-wide centralized, coerce authority that would" extend and bring to perfect completion his existing system in the USSR. (See: Randall, Stalin's Russia, op.cit, ppg 89-90, 93.) These ideas, among others, reflect the core of the Communist ideology in Stalin's Russia, and they are the central concepts of the Communist ideology today. The global ruling elite is now recreating Stalin's version of the Godless "Church-State" and the utopian community in the United States and other countries of the world.

"Lenin stated: "Communism alone is capable of providing really complete democracy..." Then, he said, "Democracy means equality." (See Tucker (Ed.) The Lenin Anthology, pp. 374, 381). In his novel, The Possessed, Dostoievsky speaks through one of his characters: "All are slaves and equal in their slavery...Slaves are bound to be equal." Lenin was absolutely correct when he said that Communism alone provides full democracy, because it makes men "equal in their slavery, equal in their suffering. It guarantees universal slavery."

Where are the churches in America today? Why are they turning a blind eye to this unprecedented attack on Christianity in America? Why aren't the leaders of all denominations storming the gates of the LA County Supervisors? Why aren't the churches in LA rallying their flocks to stand up for what's right and not what's politically correct? Can they not see this relentless attack on Christianity by the Godless ACLU is the pursuit of communism under the guise of "violation of the First Amendment"?

Tens of millions of Americans have quit attending church because they're getting nothing from their church. Most of the churches of all denominations have sold out their flocks to the IRS for that all important tax exempt status. In doing so, they have abandoned those who looked to them for guidance, leaving them spiritually bankrupt.

The people of this country support their churches financially, yet where are the ministers, priests and pastors when the people need them to stand up to this massive assault on Christianity by the ACLU and other groups? I am reminded of the movie, The Patriot, when Heath Ledger goes to the church where his lady love attends and asks for volunteers to fight for freedom. The congregation is flabbergasted when the pastor takes off his trappings and picks up his gun saying that he goes where his flock needs him!

Where is that kind of courage and determination from church leaders today? I would encourage the people who live in LA County to begin massive protests against the county supervisors and let their religious leaders know that they expect them to rally the people this Sunday and every Sunday until we beat back the planned take over of our beloved Republic. Let those church leaders know that their silence is unacceptable and that they will no longer receive the support of the people. Translated, that means no more financial support.

The power still rests with the people, they just have to exercise it.
