There is a very fine book on line I've been reading that I think everyone should read; available at:There is an excellent section on taxation, the 16th Amendment and Madison. Mr. Norton was writing about this long before the "tax movement" was ever birthed. If a million adults would read this fine work, this criminal operation out in Washington, DC would start to feel the wrath of the American people and candidates like Howard Dean, who has such a strong communist ideology, would fade into the wind.
Here's a teaser:

This had been developing so rapidly that all ideas of constitutionalism seemed to have passed out of the American mind. That is, indefensible proposals and practices against the plainest limitations on power set in the Constitution provoked no objections even from the Bar. For two decades no great debate on a constitutional subject had been heard in either House of Congress.
