HASTERT'S RED HERRING

"Some people think the Federal Reserve Banks are U.S. government institutions. They are not government institutions. They are private credit monopolies which prey upon the people of the U.S. for the benefit of themselves and their foreign and domestic swindlers, and rich and predatory money lenders." 75th Congressional Record, pgs 12595-12603, Chairman Louis T. McFadden, House Banking and Currency Committee, address to the House on June 10, 1932

There is a great deal of excitement and buzz this week over House Speaker Dennis Hastert's new book carrying the headlines that the GOP is going to push to eliminate the IRS! Whoopie....sorta. According to the Drudge Report on August 2, 2004, "A domestic centerpiece of the Bush/GOP agenda for a second Bush term is getting rid of the Internal Revenue Service, the Drudge Report has learned. The Speaker of the House will push for replacing the nation's current tax system with a national sales tax or a value added tax, Hill sources tell Drudge."

The pretend elections are a scant three months away. If this issue was going to be the "centerpiece" of the GOP during a second Bush term, why is it that no one has heard anything about it until the Speaker of the House is ready to hawk his new book, Speaker: Lessons From Forty Years in Coaching and Politics?

Why this red herring?

Three months before the pretend elections, suddenly Congress and Bush are going to be the heroes of the desperate in America looking for any relief from this immoral, progressive income tax. While I haven't read, nor will I waste my money on Hastert's book, I doubt very much if Hastert has come clean and explained to the American people that the Republican and Democrat parties and every President since 1913 have lied to the American people about the income tax and the voluntary withholding taxing scheme since 1943. I also suspect that Hastert won't come clean with employers who read his book regarding their obligation to be unpaid tax collectors for this corrupt government and the endless lies about the voluntary social security taxing scheme.

The number of informed Americans who refuse to voluntarily file income tax returns and the massive resistance to the big lie has grown to such magnitude, it's no longer a manageable swindle. Millions are no longer afraid to stand up to tyranny. Millions simply refuse to have the fruits of their labor stolen - NOT to run a limited, legitimate form of Republican government, but to enrich the coffers of the banking cartel.

Additionally, all the lies and inconsistencies about 9-11 and the "war on terrorism" are beginning to run very thin with millions of Americans, including the families of those injured or who perished that terrible day. People want the truth and they want those responsible held accountable. Full disclosure about 9-11 and the monumental failure of intelligence agencies still hasn’t materialized and with millions hounding members of Congress about the big income tax lie, it’s time to market a new scheme to the American people iced with false hope.

A red herring is defined as: Something that draws attention away from the central issue. This sudden proclamation from a new book smells, just like most of the bald faced lies that come out of Washington, DC. It's imperative that the American people's attention be diverted from the real issues plaguing this country. A decade ago, this was accomplished by a red herring called the Contract With America, delivered with lots of hoopla by former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich. The following is an excerpt from my old newsletter (November/December 1996 issue):

"On November 13, 1996, I spoke with the Washington, DC based Roll Call to confirm the following, which they did; this quote is from popular magazine for conservatives and ran in their November 1996 issue:

"House Speaker New Gingrich has admitted that a hidden motive behind his 'Contract With America' two years ago was to control the large and stridently conservative freshman class that was expected to come into the house with the 1994 mid-term elections. 'Nobody fully understand this,' Gingrich explained in confidential tapes obtained by Roll Call, 'but if you think of the Contract with America, it was, in fact, a training implementation document masquerading as a public relations device...It was designed as a training implementation document for the freshmen when they arrived...It was guaranteed that from election day through April, early April, that the House Republican Party would have to behave in a deviant manner from what it would morally be expected to do." Roll Call says there is much more on these confidential tapes they managed to acquire and will be printing it in their newspaper. (End of excerpt)

The so-called Contract with America was a lie, a farce. The Grand Old Party thinks so much of your loyalty, they treat you like cattle. Mislead you, lie to you, feed you, medicate you with "free prescription drugs," and herd you into the desired direction using phony, glitzy headline grabbers, i.e. the Contract with America.

Understanding the money trail is the key to understanding the deception

"To preserve [the] independence [of the people,] we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and liberty, or profusion and servitude. If we run into such debts as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our callings and our creeds, as the people of England are, our people, like them, must come to labor sixteen hours in the twenty-four, give the earnings of fifteen of these to the government for their debts and daily expenses, and the sixteenth being insufficient to afford us bread, we must live, as they now do, on oatmeal and potatoes, have no time to think, no means of calling the mismanagers to account, but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains on the necks of our fellow-sufferers." --Thomas Jefferson to Samuel Kercheval, 1816. ME 15:39

If one is going to support any system of taxation, wouldn’t you want to have an understanding of what the money is to be used for and where it goes once it's collected? Hastert's red herring touts that the income tax (a direct tax) can be replaced by forcing another direct and unavoidable taxing scheme on the American people, either through a national sales tax or a "value added tax." Two nightmares just waiting to happen. These red herrings are just as dangerous to our liberty as a so-called "flat tax."

Unless and until Americans take the time to understand that no matter which taxing scheme these duplicitous individuals in the Congress and whoever is sitting in the White House dangle in front of you, those funds will not be used to finance the horrifically, bloated federal machine. This is a fact and I encourage you to take the time to read: Why an Income Tax is Not Necessary to Fund the U.S. Government. Once you understand the money trail, you will finally understand why the American people are once again about to be sold a rotten bill of goods. Unsuspecting Americans who are so desperate to get rid of the Gestapo (IRS) are vulnerable and will grab anything that replaces the IRS, even though it’s just a different form of bondage. Help get them educated with facts, not more rhetoric.

Americans need to take that hour or two and do the research provided in this article. All of it is based on verifiable facts and law, not the spin put out by popular conservatives like Shawn Hannity. My criticism of individuals like Hannity, Limbaugh and others isn't personal in any sense of the word. I’m simply tired of listening to individuals who haven't done the legal research, yet command a microphone and influence millions of people every day - without the facts the American people deserve.

"The bold effort the present bank had made to control the government...are but premonitions of the fate that await the American people should they be deluded into a perpetuation of this institution or the establishment of another like it." President Andrew Jackson, overriding Congress, closed the second Federal Bank.

Jackson fully understood the danger to our Republic by printing and using worthless paper currency (fiat currency). It was the greatest battle of his presidency. The Second Bank of the United States was a private corporation, but in reality, was virtually a Government-sponsored monopoly. When Jackson appeared hostile toward it, the Bank threw its power against him. The privately owned Federal Reserve banking system America has been saddled with since 1913 is the same venal institution. Sadly, we haven't had a single President since 1913 with the honesty, integrity and testosterone to fight the moneylenders.

Without any understanding on this issue, one cannot appreciate the deceptive and thoroughly dishonest red herring that Dennis Hastert and the GOP have just floated in this latest trial balloon. No doubt Marxist John Kerry and his despicable running mate, smarmy personal injury multi-millionaire attorney, John Edwards, will try to make some political hay with this announcement. You can also take money to the bank that neither of them will come out and tell the American people the truth: no direct taxation is needed to fund a limited form of Republican government.

Why won’t they come clean? In the words of the infamous traitor, adulterer and serial liar, Bill Clinton, August 1998 over in Ireland responding to a question as to what would he (Clinton) do if removed from office through impeachment, Clinton replied, "You know, by the time you become the leader of a country, someone else makes all the decisions."

Who is it making those decisions? We can find some clues by looking at these quotes: "Give me control over a nation's currency and I care not who makes its laws." Baron M.A. Rothschild. "Whoever controls the volume of money in any country is master of all its legislation and commerce." President James Garfield. And, last but not least from Robert Reich, former Secretary of Labor under Bill Clinton, January 7, 1999 issue of USA Today: "The dirty little secret is that both houses of Congress are irrelevant….America's domestic policy is now being run by Alan Greenspan and the Federal Reserve and America's foreign policy is now being run by the International Monetary Fund [IMF]....when the president decides to go to war, he no longer needs a declaration of war from Congress."

Think about what you're leaving your children and grand babies. Isn't it worth an hour or two of your time to get the facts before you buy into the pig in a poke being sold by Hastert and the GOP?
